Adjust headset or speakerphone volume

Activate either headset or speakerphone, use the volume buttons, press settings button, press save softkey.

Adjusting the display contrast

Press settings button, use the up and down arrow scroll keys to highlight “Contrast”. Press the “SELECT” softkey. Press and release the up and down softkeys or volume up and down arrows to reach the desired contrast level. Press the “OK” softkey. Press “EXIT” softkey.

Adjusting the ringer volume

Press and release the volume (arrow up or down) keys while the phone is NOT in use; press the “SETTINGS” button and then press the “SAVE” softkey.

Changing your ring:

Press the “SETTINGS” button. Use the scroll down arrow to highlight option two “RING TYPE”. Press the “SELECT” softkey and use the up and down scroll arrows to highlight the desired ringer option. Press “PLAY” softkey to hear the highlighted ringer option and press “SELECT” to choose that option for your ringer.

Making an External Call

  1. Handset, Speakerphone, or Keypad (hot keypad).
  2. Dial “9” to access outside line. (Your access number may differ.)

Making an Internal Call

Dial four-digit extension, then press the dial key if active.

Answering the Phone

  1. Lift handset and press the associated line button to turn on the speakerphone.
  2. Press the “ANSWER” softkey.
  3. Press the “SPEAKER”button to use the speakerphone.

Answering a second call

If you are on a call and a second one rings in, press the “ANSWER” softkey. The first call is automatically placed on hold and you are connected to the second call.

WARNING: IF YOU DO NOT USE THE ANSWER SOFTKEY AND JUST PRESS THE NEW LINE THAT IS COMING IN, YOU WILL DISCONNECT THE FIRST CALL

To reconnect with the first call

Press the scroll key to highlight the original call and then press the “RESUME” softkey.

How to hang up / disconnect

Replace the handset in its cradle, press the “END CALL” softkey, or press the SPEAKER button.

Conference Calling

Establish a conversation, press the “MORE” softkey. Press the “CONF” softkey. The call is placed on hold and you will hear a dial tone. Dial internally (4 digits) or externally (9+). When the person answers, tell them you’re conferencing them and then press the “CONF” button. Keep repeating until there are up to 12 people talking.

FORWARD:

Go over FORWARD button. Press “FORWARD” soft key, enter forwarding number. To cancel the forward function, simply press the forward button again.

MUTE:

Pressing the “MUTE” softkey disconnects the microphone while allowing you to hear the other party.

HOLD:

During a conversation, press the “HOLD”softkey, the line will blink. To resume a conversation, press the resume softkey and begin speaking.

INTERCOM:

Press the “MORE” softkey, press the intercom softkey you will hear a dial tone. Dial the desired 4-digit extension. The person will hear a fast beep and then their speaker will be activated (two way talking).

PARKING CALLS:

Press the “MORE” softkey, press “MCPARK”. You will be given a 4-digit number. The automated system will give you the number, or you may look on the phone screen to get the number. You may recover the call from any extension, versus hold, which allows only the original person who put them on hold to get the call off of hold.

TRANSFERRING CALLS: (ANNOUNCED/BLIND)

During a conversation, press the “MORE” softkey, press the “TRNSFER” softkey. The call is placed on hold and you hear a dial tone. Dial the four digit extension you wish to transfer to or “9” (or your outside access number) and the outside line. When the party answers the call, announce the transfer and hang up your handset. If the party is unavailable, press the “RESUME” softkey to cancel the transfer and return to the holding party, or hang-up and let the call go to the 2nd party’s voicemail.

TO PROGRAM A SPEED DIAL: (7962)

Dial “744” on your keypad. You will be prompted to enter the speed dial number you wish to program followed by the pound sign. Enter “9”before the number if it will be an external call. You may also program an internal number by simply entering the four digit extension. “9” is not needed if the number is internal. The number you entered will be repeated to you and you are to confirm that the number is correct by entering the “#” sign.

Voicemail

FROM YOUR PHONE:

Press “Messages” button, enter your password, follow prompts.

FROM ANOTHER EXTENSION:

Dial 755 and enter your extension number- you will then be prompted to enter your password. Enter the 4 digit numeric password followed by the “#” key.

FROM OUTSIDE THE COMPANY:

Dial your direct number, when you hear your announcement press * and follow the instructions.

7 skip back in 5-second increments

9 skip forward in 5-second increments

77 to go to the beginning of the message

99 to skip to the end of a message

8 pauses the play of a message

6 replays a voicemail message during or immediately after a message is played

5 saves a message during or immediately after it is played

4 deletes a message during or immediately after it is played

AFTER HEARING A MESSAGE:

7 to forward it to another extension, enter the extension digits then press “#” to enter another extension or press “##” if this is the last person to receive the message

*** You will be prompted to leave an introduction to the forwarded message

2 To reply to a message, record your reply and press “#” to accept your message. You are then prompted to press “1” to send a reply or “2” to change your reply, “3” to review the reply, “9” to mark urgent and reply, or “*” to cancel the reply and re-record.

*** To mark a message as urgent, press the “#” key and then “9”

TO CHANGE YOUR VOICEMAIL PASSWORD:

Press the voicemail button, press “3” to change your password. Enter your new password followed by the “#” key. Enter your new password again.

TO IMMEDIATELY BEGIN LISTENING TO VOICEMAIL, PRESS “#” DURING THE VOICEMAIL MENU ANNOUNCEMENT

TO RETURN TO THE OPERATOR OR AUTO ATTENDANT WHILE IN VOICEMAIL, HIT THE “*” KEY

TO SEND A MESSAGE DIRECTLY TO AN EXTENSION:

Dial “777”. You will be prompted to enter the extension number of the person you want to send a message to. Dial the 4 digits, then you will be prompted to record a message and then hang up.

HOW TO RECORD YOUR PERSONALIZED VOICEMAIL GREETINGS:

Press “5” from the voicemail menu, then:

1 No Answer greeting

2 Do Not Disturb greeting

3 Busy greeting

* to return to the main menu
